Campus California is…

… An international campus for global development.

We are people from many different places working to make the world a better place for those who live in it. We believe that a better world is possible, and we welcome all who want to work together with us to make that possibility a reality.

To that end, Campus California has developed several organized programs for those who wish to make positive change in the world. At this time, we are inviting people to take part in the Development Instructor (DI) [link this to DI program page] program. It is a 14 or 20 month program in which participants take part in 6 months of practical training and working with local community groups in California, 6 or 12 months working in development projects in Africa, and 2 months of follow-up and continuing work. In the future, we will offer additional programs Link to other programs.

… A recycling center

Since 2004, Campus California has recycled millions of kilograms of clothing, shoes, and small household goods. We collect clothing at hundreds of drop-off boxes located all over the greater San Francisco Bay Area. The clothing recycling program has a positive environmental impact, increases availability of quality second-hand clothing, diverts material from landfills, and provides needed funds for our other work. Read more about our clothing recycling program here.

… Part of an international movement

Campus California is part of the International DRH Movement. www.drh-movement.org By working together towards the same goal; we in the DRH Movement expand our impact, and develop our work.

…Involved in the local community

Campus California is involved in the betterment of the local community through packing and distributing food with the Rainbow Center in Oakland, participating in Coastal Cleanup campaigns in San Francisco and planting trees in the East Bay. See pictures & read more on our Facebook page here!
